The Dream is Dead. Long Live the Dream

Super-Tactical Turbo UltraScope (Demo) - 2008

For five years, Chicago spectacle rockers Glittermouse have been performing on every stage big enough to house their excessive live show. With an endlessly creative bag of tricks, each performance is fringed with pounds of confetti or hundreds of balloons as well as any and all collaborators that will fit on the stage. The core group is composed of six close friends who throw themselves into the music as much as the show.

When it comes to the music, the members of Glittermouse have very different backgrounds rooted in funk, shoe gaze, metal, and hip-hop among literally every other genre. The result is songs that are identifiably different from each other and oftentimes from themselves as a chorus moves into a ragtime bridge smothered in auto-tuned vocals ("I For One"). This allows for even the most discriminating listener to hopefully be able to find something to latch on to.

We get bored easily, and so we make it next to impossible for our audience to get bored. Whether they're at the venue sweating with us, or in their car stuck in traffic.
Boredom is the enemy.
