Bio

Try Glorybee, 3 friends who play fun music together in New Orleans, their home. Glorybee released their first self-produced album “11 Fun Songs” in January 2002. Their second album “Domain of the Snakes” was released in September 2002. Just out is “The Prettiest Girl” a mini CD and comic book. “GYB: the first power” was released to great press reviews in June 2004.

Glorybee is a fun band for local fans and people just passing through. After a peek into a Glorybee show, townies and out-of-towners alike are compelled to enter and experience a real party. The music is children’s circus hip-hop or candy-coated cheerleader nightmares.

Each live show is different, offering a brand new fun night out even for Glorybee veterans, with homemade costumes, cupcakes, gummi brains, and gummi hamburgers. Koontamata, the Dancing Thai Chef, joins Glorybee on stage, cooking and serving free vegetarian Thai delights during the show. With drum tracks, keyboards, bells, bass, and balloon popping, Glorybee’s live shows are a laugh festival. The audience is often asked to participate by playing party horns and slide whistles. At the show, play Maw Maw’s Lucky Ducks, an exciting carnival game where everyone’s a winner!

Glorybee performs at many different clubs in New Orleans including the Howlin' Wolf and El Matador, and tour around the country. They visited the Mercury Lounge and made a well-received debut at Ville Platte, Louisiana’s annual Smoked Meat Festival.
