Biography

GloveBox is a 5 piece band based in Midland, TX. In addition, the band has a full time sound engineer. Their original compositions are complex and textured. Today's sounds coupled with with yesterday's influences makes this band stand out to take notice of. Musical emphasis is placed on driving rhythms and highly melodic expression, in a progressively fused rock genre. The covers GloveBox performs are from "arena style" artists such as Van Halen, Journey, Styx, U2, Rush, AC/DC, Def Leppard, etc. Other covers include songs from Collective Soul, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Seether, 3 Doors Down, etc.

Randy Bryant- Guitar/Vocals

Randy was born in April, 1961 and was raised in Houston, TX. After finishing high school in 1979, he moved to Midland, TX. His earliest musical recollections were listening to the radio with his parents when he was 5 years old. His favorite song was Wild Thing by the Troggs. Through the years, he has developed a love, respect and appreciation for many styles of music. This includes progressive rock, blues/fusion and contemporary christian rock.

Randy has a long list of guitar player favorites: Alex Lifeson, Robin Trower, Frank Marino, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Lincoln Brewster, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Satriani.

Dennis Burge- Keyboards/Vocals

A native New Yorker, Dennis began studying piano at an early age and pursued an education in jazz composition and theory. He has been an enthusiast of the jazz fusion era and progressive rock development since it's beginning.

After completing his education with degrees in composition and theory, Dennis has been in numerous bands extending from fusion, blues and progressive rock in both New York and Texas.

Highly influenced by artists Chic Corea, Herbie Hancock, Jan Hammer, Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman, his love for creative expression through the keyboards is Dennis's focal point.

Keith Guinn- Drums/Vocals

Keith is a Native West Texan. Born in Crane, Texas. He has only lived out of Texas for about ten years in Clovis, New Mexico. Moving to Midland in 1977, Keith picked up his first pair of drum sticks when he was 9 years old. His first band during his high school years was a group called TRESTLE. He has been proud to be in some of the top local bands. These include SILENT MAJORITY, BUSTER CHERRY, BLACK TOOTH GRIN.

Influences range from John Denver to Led Zeppelin. Of course for a drummer, Keith really paid alot of attention to his three top artists and bands. Neil Peart- Rush, Phil Ehart- Kansas and Alan White- Yes. Growing up in the 70's, it was the "power house" arena bands that caught his attention. Some of his favorite bands were STYX, JOURNEY, VAN HALEN and DEF LEPPARD.

Stu Hacken- Bass/Bookings & Promotions

Born in New Jersey and raised in Ozone Park, NY. Stu's parents bought him his first bass guitar for his 13th birthday, and he has been jammin' ever since! Stu began playing in bands in Queens, and later co-founded ONE-WAY, a Funk/Rock group that performed at venues in New York City.

Years later, Stu landed in San Diego, CA. and eventually hooked up with HAYWIRE, a jazz rock/fusion project which continued for several years. In the 80's - 90's he played with several different bands, and did some studio work in Los Angeles.

During the mid 90's, Stu joined the DYNAMIX playing classic rock & roll from the 50's - 70's. In 2000, the band transformed into HOTHOUSE. Stu moved to West Texas at the end of 2005. His musical inspirations include the artistry of Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce, John Entwistle, Roger Waters, Geddy Lee and John Paul Jones.

Judd Spinks- Lead Vocals

Judd grew up in Odessa and at 13 years old, moved to Austin, TX. He comes from a musically oriented and very talented family. His dad plays keyboards and sang in various bands during the 70s. He's still jammin' today! His mom plays classical piano. Beginning in elementary school Judd's many talents began to surface.

He soon was acting and singing in school productions. This continued through junior high. During his years in high school, he was inspired by various rock artists such as Bon Jovi, Ratt, Motley Crue and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

As time progressed, Judd became intrigued with blues, jazz and funk.
During the 90s he started singing with some local bands. He also began playing keyboards. In the late 90s he joined a group called the YELLA BELLY SAB SUCKERS, a 9 piece Rock & Soul group.

They played at various Austin venues, and have performed at South By Southwest. During the early 2000s, he started playing with SUGAR WALL, a Rock & Blues band. He went on to be the lead vocalist for DIRT LEG BARRIO, a hard rock band. He then became the lead vocalist
for WHOLE LOTTA LED, a Led Zeppelin tribute band.
