"Concert Review"

“Although they are a contemporary folk band, and much of their material touches on more serious issues, they still know how to deliver their music in an accessible, fun fashion. Their live performances are full of laughs, claps, stomps and dancing – most audiences would have trouble standing still. Glowing House is a serious band that does not take themselves too seriously.” - Concerted Effort

"Steal This Track"

“Glowing House is poised to make a big impression on the local music-loving community with Days Run Out.” - Denver Post Reverb

"Featured Artist - Glowing House"

“Do yourself a favor and get the album when it releases, share it with everyone you know, and help spread the word about a band that we have no doubt is heading toward great success.” - Oratory of Sound

""Taming Lions" single review"

“This is enormous fun. Keeping one step ahead of disaster rarely sounded so lively.” - Misfit City

""Taming Lions" single review"

“While I’m personally not a huge fan of folk music other than a few exceptions (Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, Laura Marling) Denver’s Glowing House, led by husband and wife Steve Varney and Jess Parsons, have changed my perspective on the genre.” - Cassette Rewind

"Glowing House - One of the top musical acts to watch in Denver for 2011"

Glowing House: With the release of its stellar, thirteen-track full-length, The Annual Demise of Every Aspen, Glowing House has quietly made its way to the forefront of the local scene, where it's steadily gained ground during the past year warming up crowds for (and almost stealing the show from) acts like Churchill. Buoyed by the vibrant vocals of pianist Jess Parsons, the trio, which also includes guitarist Steve Varney and drummer Patrick Kline, has an unaffected charm that's instantly captivating, from its honeyed harmonies to the heartfelt musings found in lines like these, from "Paper and Pen": "Wrote it down fleshed it out/Words on a page have no storybook ending/Tried erasing mistakes/Only to find blue pen bruises the paper.../Ripping out pages I see there's still part of you left in the seam." (www.glowinghousemusic.com) - The Westword

"Glowing House - The Annual Demise of Every Aspen"

"sumptuous and heartfelt songs"

"soulful, impeccably arranged"

"The Annual Demise [of Every Aspen] serves as a worthy conduit for... emerging greatness."

- Jason Heller, The Westword - The Westword (Denver)
