GMartin

G.Martin was born and raised in the "Steel City" Gary Indiana. Never foreseeing how much of an impact music would have on his life, he fell in love with tunes and melodies at an early age. He started as a musician playing three instruments fluently by the tender age of twelve and has since been perfecting his craft. G.Martin began to sing at fourteen and discovered his best quality through his vocal ability. He wrote his first song at fifteen years old. He has now written well over 500 songs since. He does most of his Production and has done all of his writing for his music. Discovering music was discovering himself and was also the beginning of the definition of "GMartin". Performing publicly for the first time at a well known theatre performance in high school began a consistent chain of performance to follow and that alone was enough for him to create a name for himself in his home state. Later he would go on to be invited to perform at formal state events, sports events and private affairs. Still not satisfied with his status in r&b in January of 2008 he relocated to New York and is now focused on letting the world hear his music and introduce himself as "G.Martin". He entered Apollo as a contestant in 2009 and won with an original son called “Heart Break”. This made him the first in years to win with an original record. He went on to win countless contests in the Tri State Region. In 2010 G.Martin received his first International television coverage as a guest “Spotlight Artist” at B.E.T’s 106 and Park show and shocked the world once again with his poise and delivery. In 2011 he released his debut mixed tape titled “No Recession For Love the mixed cd pt1”. Over 17,000 units have been downloaded and distributed. G.Martin is living his dream and he wants you to be a part of it.
