Goatboy

This may only be a demo but it's a very promising introduction to the world of Goatboy (unless of course you were familiar with Mark O'Sullivan's previous work with Screaming Skies?). ‘Winter Tears’ has a restrained epic feel about it and could really blossom with the addition of some brass parts. The production is a little grey but that is to be expected for a bedroom recording. In some ways that matt finish actually heightens the retro feel as Goatboy’s vocals do have a tinge of Peter Cetera about them. Goatboy’s has expressed that he is aiming for a sound that approximates ‘Lost Souls’ Doves and in lots of ways he succeeds with ‘Winter Tears’.
