GoBox is HOT! They play all the songs LIVE that you want to dance to. I could probably even see them playing, not only at bars and music venues but also at DJ style dance clubs. They show up with your normal gear, you know, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals. But what throws them over the top is their DJ, their second drummer (playing an electronic drum kit), and their choice of songs.
These guys play rap and hip-hop songs from artists like Ludacris, T-Pain, DJ Khaled, and Lil Jon. Then they throw in some popular dance songs from artists like The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Missy Elliot. They use ROCK style instruments, but they sound like the orginal artists. There are 9 members of GoBox and everyone switches intruments and vocals when needed. Their DJ plays other popular dance songs before, during and after their set to keep the dance going. GoBox was formed in October of 2010 to play one Halloween Party as a Hip Hop/Dance band. The band was massive and consisted of the town's best musicians. The response was phenomenal so a few more shows were added. Through time, only the strongest of the group survived leaving a powerful 5 piece in it's wake. After about a year of playing around it was evident to the band that any given crowd could not agree on one or two genres of music! To solve this conundrum, GoBox became a Variety Band – all styles for all people. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event or venue, the client can select from a vast array of songs prior to the show to ensure everyone’s happiness if necessary.
