In the world of modern music, there has been a wall built between the title of artist and musician, a wall that Connecticut native godAWFUL has no problem taking a sledgehammer to. The twenty-three year old emcee/producer maintains a sound and presence that can only be defined as passionate and real. The self-proclaimed Broken Author's eclectic sound, which he benefits to his wide range of musical & literary influences, maintains a gritty realism comprised of pure emotion and unrelenting honesty. Handling topics from his inner fight with pessimism and lack of self worth, to a brutally honest outlook digging deep in to social issues surrounding him.

Growing up a single child in a working class home, AWFUL began privately writing songs and poems at the age of 11. Slowly his obsession with hip-hop music took over and what was once personal poetry evolved into braggadocios rap lyrics. in 2002, while still only developing his craft as a hobby, godAWFUL met Collin Gibson through a small online hip-hop forum and immediately began collaborating on tracks together. One year later, AWFUL became an official member of IMA and the rest they say, is history. Today, 12 years from his first time scribbling down some words on a notepad, godAWFUL still remains loyal to the team that made him what he is, while also co-founding Connecticut based movement, Penalty Box, and working with long time friend/producer Swift Ikarus as the hip-hop group A & B Conversation.
