The Feb 04 issue of Mix Magazine is out.  A Goddess picture and project report are in there.  Although this is an industry trade magazine for the recording industry, this is quite a public relations coup.  The entire production industry & a great deal of the music/entertainment industry use this publication as the benchmark for what is happening in the top studios in the States.  This type of attention for an unsigned band is very rare indeed. Look for the online article in the near future here: http://mixonline.com/ar/audio_sessions_studio_news_60/index.htm<br> - Mix Magazine

Bio

Goddess is the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Al Espinal. Al played in a few bands in the Chicagoland area before relocating to Houston in 1998. Goddess formed in the summer of 2001 when Al recruited Texas A&M architecture colleague Tushar Gupta to play bass. Avalon is a singer and songwriter who joined Goddess after legendary producer Dan Workman suggested that she find a rock band to bring to life her music on stage. Since then, Avalon and Al have been collaborating as the band continues to play clubs in the Houston area.

In January of 2004, Goddess recorded a three-song promotional CD at the famous SugarHill Recording Studios in Houston. The CD was produced by Dan Workman, who is known for his work with fellow Houstonians Destiny’s Child, Beyonce Knowles (Dangerously In Love), ZZ Top, Clay Walker, and many other notables.

Goddess will aggressively promote themselves in 2004. Short-term plans include playing more venues outside of Houston while selling their CDs at shows. The long-term goal is to catch the ear of a record label and get signed. To that end, Goddess is willing and able to travel and appear wherever to get their music heard. Please visit the Goddess website for the latest information about the band, including upcoming shows, photos, and streaming audio files.
