"From the electronic abrasions of NIN to Filter to the unfettered artisan slant of Jane's Addiction and Soundgarden with the expansive nature of Muse in tow, GFM keep their refined rage well-dressed while casting the ominous shadow of the distinct NYC skyline with driving tracks." - Deli Magazine
"These songs are a rounded mix of influences from epic soundscapes to volatile guitar rock with a nod to their shoe-gazer heroes." - Movement News
“NY quartet God Fires Man straddle punk, hardcore and alt-rock with note-perfect precision.” - Kerrang!
"...These songs aren't just serious - awesomeness also abounds, taking a love of early 90s indie and meshing it with accomplished, scene-free-alt-rock songwriting that comes with knowing your shit." - Rock Sound Magazine
"Taking cues from Muse and subtle instruction from Smashing Pumpkins, A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun is relentless in its quest to suffocate you with melody and fuzz. In a whirlwind of guitar-driven melodrama, the first full -length pairs substantive lyrical content with over-the-top, often howling instrumentation; the result sounds studio-huge and skillfully crafted” - Alternative Press (AP Mag)
"The bands debut, A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun, shows a band balancing its indie experimental leanings with a healthy respect for good old fashioned hooks." - Revolver Magazine
"If you took the riffs of Chevelle and the passionate stage presence of Against Me, shook them up in a test tube, and then hurled it at a wall, the explosion is called God Fires Man." - Blistering Magazine

GOD FIRES MAN - TOP 10 NEW ROCK ARTIST 2008 - iTUNES
Formed in the summer of 2006, God Fires Man promptly recorded and released an online-only 5 track EP to a great success, followed by a UK tour in January 2007 with Hundred Reasons and Kids In Glass Houses. Shortly after came a record deal stateside with InDeGoot Recordings, and XTRA Mile in the UK, with whom they set about recording their first full-length record "A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun" with Ethan Dussault (Cave-In, Lot 6) and Brian Virtue (Audioslave, Deftones, Jane's Addiction), released February 2008.
Having graced U.S. stages in 2008 with Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Filter, 65daysofstatic, and Scott Weiland to name a few, God Fires Man finished their sophomore album, Life Like, with producer Alex Newport (At The Drive In, Mars Volta, Death Cab) in January 2009. Life Like was released June 26, 2009 on Arctic Rodeo Recordings (EU/JP), and self-released exclusively on iTunes in October 2009 (N. & S. America, OZ/NZ). The release of Life Like was followed up in October-November 2009 with their first headlining tour in Germany, with plans of more touring (US, EU, & UK) in early 2010.
