GOD Given

GOD Given

BandChristianGospel

My music style is whatever sound GOD gives me. It can be Alternative, Contemporary, Christian Rock and other times it can be more Urban. Every song I write has a unique meaning. I like to sing about things that I notice others don't sing about. I don't sample secular music, Jesus deserves creativity

Biography

Brandon Colar, born in Chicago on August 31st, 1986 had an early start in music. following the footsteps on his older brothers and sister, being in a music-based family. "I love writing and arranging songs. The words to me are the base but the melody and arrangements are what makes songs memorable" says Brandon. Some of his influences are Sade, Brandy, and Karen Clark Sheard among many others. In October 2007 Brandon got his first placement when he won the Vickie Winans Singer/Songwriter Contest, that song will be put to music by Darkchild and sung by Vickie Winans "I just wanna bring what I can to the Gospel/Christian genre. we've come along way, but there's so much further we can go." He not only got the love of music from his family, but also the desire to live and dedicate his talents to the Lord. "God has blessed me with musical talents, so its only fitting that I use that same gift for the Lord", Brandon is prepared to make his mark in music as a songwriter. As Brandon has gotten older he realizes that there is no living without GOD. In order for you to know your calling, your true purpose in life, Jesus must come first. Brandon is determined to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Song.

Release

Written By: Brandon "GOD Given" Colar

Uh, uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh, uh

V1. Third row at the church I saw you, and I heard the alter call when you gave your life. I saw you crying it was evident that, that you were totally free.

Chorus. Oh, I can hear you release, there ain’t no better feeling than to be set free.

Uh, uh, uh, uh
Uh, uh, uh, uh

V2. I see you on the corner selling your body for money. When you don’t have to, got a loving family at home. You tried to rebel but you see what it has gotten you, only a matter of time before you come to your senses.

Oh, I can hear you release, there ain’t no better feeling than to be set free.

Oh, I can hear you release, riding on God’s love like I’m riding on this beat. And oh I can see you letting go, of everything you know. Go head and let it go.

Momentum

2. Momentum

V1.If I run so fast for you and don’t look back, maybe then I’ll have a better chance to stay on track. Gotta see the Man that died on Calvary, I've read a million times before. But it never gets old cuz every morning, new mercies I see.

Chorus. So I keep my Momentum to see you, never turn around all I can do. Is run to you, I run to you, I run to you.

V2. So many distractions keep my eyes off of you, not trying to take the blame off me. But I gotta see the Man that died on Calvary, I've read a million times before. But it never gets old cuz every morning, new mercies I see.

Chorus.

Bridge. And I can see, all the glory that’s in front of me, if I keep my pace, I know Ill win this race.
(I’ll win, I will win this race. If I keep my faith I’ll win this race.)

So I keep my Momentum to see you, never turn around all I can do. Is run to you, I run to you, I run to you.

Relocation

Written By: Brandon "GOD Given" Colar

3. Relocation

V1.There comes a time in ya life when you say you've had enough. There comes a time in ya life when you say its not enough. Up there there's a mansion that waits for me. And one day I will happily relocate.

Chorus. There's a relocation waiting for me, waiting for me in Heaven.

V2. There comes a time in ya life when you feel like an alien, and you don't feel like you belong here, you are right. Because up there there's a mansion that waits for me, and one day I will happily relocate.

Chorus. There's a relocation waiting for me, waiting for me in Heaven.

And here we go…
Bridge. There's a mansion, waiting for me. There’s a mansion, there’s a mansion.

Up there there's a mansion that waits for me (me). And one day I’ll be there, happily relocating yeah (relocating)

There's a relocation waiting for me, waiting for me in Heaven.

There's a mansion, waiting for me. There’s a mansion, there’s a mansion.

There's a relocation waiting for me, waiting for me in Heaven.
(waiting for me. There’s a mansion, there’s a mansion).

4. Embedded

V1. Your love is all I need. Whatever I lack, ya give me, for your love goes to the deepest parts of me.

And I wanna be, gotta be. Embedded in your love.

V2. Throughout my life, I’ve made mistakes. But with your love it throws them away. And Lord I know, that’s your in the deepest parts of me.

And I wanna be Embedded…
Cuz I wanna be, got to be, yes I’m glad to be in your love.

Am I Enough?

Written By: Brandon "GOD Given" Colar

5. Am I Enough

V1. Well I just had to take this time to say what’s on my mind. Your life is such a good example sometimes it’s hard to follow. As I examine myself and look over my issues, though I try my best. I still have one thing to ask you.

Chorus. Am I Enough (To be used by you)

V2. I said am I enough, or should I give up.
If I give you my life, will you really give me a ministry? Me even me how can this be, I need you to reassure me.

Am I Enough (To be used by you)

Dealing with this flesh everyday, doubt tends to take its place. But you remind that with you, I can do anything.
Am I enough?

I needed to know and you’ve came through and now I know
I am enough.

And you say, I am…
