"Go Exploring is the solo project of Matt Scime"

Go Exploring is the solo project of Matt Scime.
This the opening track from his new album Adventures and what a wonderful way to open an album. The song floats along for three minutes in wind, then just as you start to wonder why your skipping down the street. An old mate from the brass instrument section joins in the fun. Topped off with an affable synth outro and you have yourself "Today". - Marcus Rimondini - Marcus Rimondini

"Not much is known about Go Exploring"

Not much is known about Go Exploring except he is a talented one man band with the ability to craft a catchy tune. Go Exploring's "Today" starts a laid back indie pop tune similar to that of The Radio Dept that goes straight disco in the last two minutes. We at buffaBLOG are looking forward to hearing more from Go Exploring and seeing them live as soon as they put together a full band. So yeah, get on that. -BuffaBlog.com - BuffaBlog.com

"I have the expected attention span for a 20-something in the 2000-somethings..."

I have the expected attention span for a 20-something in the 2000-somethings, so when I see a track length longer than 00:03:30 my eyes go out of focus, my body grows weary and I get a charley horse in my left foot. Go Exlporing has the medicine for that. Though most of the songs on the EP are around 5 minutes+, they are comprised of movements progressively stripped down and altered–not enough to draw you out of the song, but the right amount to keep you awake, moving and interested. Whether you opt to listen passively, or more actively follow each part of a song as it dissolves into a minimalist puddle and fades out, trust that you won’t get crampy or anything. @AshleyCanino - Dingusonmusic

"Artist Spotlight: Go Exploring Releases Psychedelic Pop Tracks On New Album"

Go Exploring is a one man band with a sound crafted late at night in a bedroom.

His music has been influenced by places all over the world and by people of all types and ideas.

The music is merely an extension of his consciousness, chaotically imagined and pushed out, sometimes by desperate means, to be assembled for your listening pleasure in the form of an album titled “Adventures”. - Treethugger

"Buffalo DIY Bedroom Artist Go Exploring"

Matt Scime, aka, Go Exploring, is a young one man band artist from Buffalo who dropped his debut EP earlier this week. The lead single, “Today,” is lively, catchy pop with synths and horns and a memorable chorus you’ll probably get stuck in your head. The follow-up track, “Friends,” has a similarly upbeat rhythm, more choruses, drum machines, synth effects and a very pronounced electric guitar jam. In fact, his sound reminds us a bit of another artist that you’ll probably on hear on IRC, Opus Orange.

For someone who only started out less than a year ago, it’s obvious that Scime has a number of talents that he draws from writing, playing a range of instruments, vocals and recording. to make unique, multi-layered tracks of pop in the realm of Matt & Kim , minus Kim. Expect to hear more about Go Exploring throughout 2013. Apparently Scime, who is in college, is planning to put together a band to tour with and work on a debut album. In reIndie rock is the culmination of past present and future rock ideologies. It is the progression of creative music fused with the roots of rock & roll. - Indie Rock Cafe

NEW YORK, NY: March 5th 2013
Singer/songwriter Matt Scime whose material is released as Go Exploring is fresh on the music scene with his debut release “Adventures”. This seven song EP takes the listener on a symphonic journey through a variety of tracks that are heavily textured in an array of ear pleasing goodness. Not one song on this release even remotely sounds like another on the album, but yet they hold a signature sound that is unique in itself.
Matt does a fantastic job of writing and performing tracks with melodies that will make you hit the repeat button over and over.
His cool approach to blending the electronic world with an indie-pop sound really makes him stand out in the sea against other artists and with one listen you would be surprised to find out this is his debut album that was completely self-produced and recorded. Matt would like to invite you to visit his Bandcamp at www.GoExploring.bandcamp.com to listen for yourself and pick up his new album “Adventures” while you’re at it.
