"EP Roots Review in Scottish Music Press"

"World jazz with electronica infusions would be the best way to describe GOL who have an after-hours ambience made more interesting bythe Middle Eastern-derived scales and textures. Roxana's vocals float seductively and the lyrics evoke transition, rootlessness and longing
without descending into mournfulness. A classy set."

"Two thumbs up, GOL are fantastic!" - Ramin Sadighi, Founder of Hermes Records

"Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival 2010"

"One of the most exciting and eclectic bands at this years  Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival...a cosmopolitan work out for mind and the feet!" (**** Star Review)

"Astrojazz"

“GOL are an utterly unique proposition, theres musical elements of Persia, dub, jazz, funk and North Africa that combine so well its testament to the skill of the bands members and the music itself. Most importantly though, GOL have a groove that anyone can lock into.”
- Chris Knight (Astrojazz Promotions, Kelburn Garden Party curator, DJ Astroboy)

"Festival Reviewer"

I saw GOL at the Kelburn Garden Party Festival back in June. 'GOL':sounds a bit like 'soul' ...but more like 'sol', sun and soul... Keep up the good work!"

Ed Stack - Ten Tracks

"Review of GOL by Eric Grace"

I saw and heard GOL for the first time at the 2009 Edinburgh Mela. Unlike some 'fusion' bands I've seen, including a very very famous one, they manage to blend world/jazz/ethnic and GOL so that you can't hear the joins. You can see the band are enjoying playing and they play tracks dealing with serious subjects without preaching and witout a hint of condescension. GOL sing and play as a band with no jostling for position. I was really impressed, will 'tell all my friends' and will be looking out for recordings. - TEN TRACKS
