"Goldbirds Won't Stop With New Single"

With temperatures soaring, London based Goldbirds will be releasing their second single ‘Giving Up’ on 13th July, and is set to be just as scorching.

Following on from their debut single, the band has managed to capture the tone and lyrics of the song, with another catchy chorus that remains one of those earworms, as the harmonies compliment the edgy verses. With big chords and an even bigger chorus, it captures the essence of the perfect summer anthem. - ROCKANDROLLCREATIONS

"Rousing Rock & Roll Band On A Mission - Q & A with Goldbirds"

Debut single Silver & Gold from fresh four-piece Goldbirds made me go Hell Yeah on first hearing. Pounding drums, fiery guitars, 60s organs in between, a fully adrenalin charged chorus and explosive dynamite vocals on top, all delivered with an unfaltering intensity. An irresistible injection of pure Rock & Roll without special effects. The quartet started as a reaction to the daily similar sounding music played on mainstream UK radio stations. These golden birds want to shake up things, they want to make a difference and… become the Biggest Band On The Planet with smoking hot music coming from the heart and the soul. Sounds exactly like what that once-upon-a-time Manchester band shouted about in the early nineties. Goldbirds is on a similar Mission. Second single Giving Up, a solid beat rock cracker, confirms that they are 4 Real. About time for a London call. "New Single We're Loving: Goldbirds"

The last couple of weeks we’ve had one song on repeat, and just can’t get it out of our heads.

Heard of Giving Up by Goldbirds? Then have a listen here:

https://soundcloud.com/goldbirdsband/giving-up
Is it the strong intro? The fierce, punchy vocals delivered with an addictive gravely gusto? The intense drumbeats and instrumental force that drags us along on this musical journey by the earlobes?

Giving Up is the second single released by the new London based rock & roll band Goldbirds, and is produced by Tristan Ivemy (Frank Turner/Babyshambles).

So who are they? Well, we’ve got Mike Brazier (drums/programming/BVs), Hils (keys/drums/vocals), Si Connelly (guitar/vocals) and Earl Phillips (bass). The band are on a mission to bring pure, solid Rock and Roll back to the music scene. And judging by their two past tracks then other wannabes better watch out, because these guys have a refreshing talent that we’re impressed by.

To see Goldbirds live in London then check them out at JD Festival, The Bedford, Balham, Saturday August 22nd.

And make sure to drop by their website for more news: http://www.goldbirdsband.com/band

This is one band we have a feeling it would be good to watch – so in years to come you can say ‘yep, I was there at the beginning!” - Jenny Amp

"Gaolbirds Giving Up Single/Download Review"

t's always nice when new bands don't have delusions of grandeur. Sure, a little self-confidence will help, but often people come across as contrived or just plain laughable. London's Goldbirds refreshingly just describe themselves as a "rock & roll band", and in the grand sceme of things, that's exactly what they are. 'Giving Up' is their second single, following on from May's debut, 'Silver and Gold', which has been enough to get them some press attention and decent gig slots. New single 'Giving Up' sees the increasingly experienced hand of Tristan Ivemy behind the desk - a man who's been involved with plenty of successful records - so they have their sights set on more than just slotting into the lo-fi indie scene.

'Giving Up' certainly couldn't be described as such; this is self-assured, has a little swagger and is definitely no shrinking violet. In a way, Goldbirds are quite retro in sound, sitting somewhere between The Faces and the more muscular tracks by Arctic Monkeys. With a gritty vocal, a powerful stomp and an expansive sound, this track may well see them begin their ascent to being genuine contenders - but that will of course depend on how musical trends develop over the next year or two. What is for sure, is that these guys are giving it a good shot, and with the wind in their sails they might just make that breakthrough. - Soundsxp

Goldbirds write rock and roll pop songs with testosterone and an adrenalin rush! Arctic Monkeys meets Oasis with a box of grenades. Dynamic twists, classically infused keyboard fills, and rolling bass.

The 4 piece from London have just released their second single Giving Up which has been playlisted on Kerrang Radio's Fresh Blood show by Alex Baker and The Richer Unsigned Playlist.
