GoldLynx

GoldLynx is a Hip Hop duo from Tampa, FL. JPM and Malcy Malc met in high school through friends and skateboarding and began to find common ground with their love for Hip Hop. Inspired by artists such as Kanye West, Jay-Z and many more they decided to try their chances in the rap game. J began recording songs in his bedroom studio during the end of 2009 and shortly after that Malc joined in and they recorded their first song together "Malcy Rocks", a remix to Mikey Rocks by The Cool Kids. Starting off being named Gifted Logistics, GoldLynx began recording song after song and released a small mixtape entitled "The Prelude." The mixtape held a bunch of songs they had recorded up to the end of 2010 including "Single Parent Household", "Brand New" and "Take You Out". During that time JPM also released a solo mixtape with home studio recordings called "The Gritty Life." They began playing shows, meeting people in the area and trying out some producers before finally meeting Leo DaVinci in October of 2011. Leo was attracted to the duo based off a live show where they performed "Single Parent Household". He saw the way they captured the crowd with the emotion of the song and knew he wanted to work with them. They began recording songs in the studio, which is the first time GoldLynx had recorded outside of JPMs bedroom studio. They released a video for their song "Come to my World" along with 2 other singles on Feb. 1st 2012 starting the journey to the top. GoldLynx is currently working on a mixtape where they will tackle classic beats from the 90's and an album where they will put their artist abilities and deep thoughts on the forefront. 2012 looks to be a promising year for the Hip Hop duo, so keep an eye and an ear out for GoldLynx.
