He has perfomed in festivals all over the world includin the Montreal Jazz Fest, Merle Fest and many others around the world. In 2007 Gonzalo formed his new Quaret and released his first solo production entitled Porteña Soledad.
The Gonzalo Bergara quartet consists of two acoustic guitars, upright bass and a clarinet/sax. Sometimes a Bandoneon is used to give it even a stronger Argentinian flavor. The music is mostly original compositions with all kinds of influences from Django Reinhardt, Astor Piazzolla, Oscar Aleman, Antonio Carlos Jobim, a lot of classical music, Blues, traditional Jazz and some pop music as well. The combination of all this is what you'll hear.
Gonzalo is also considered a gifted composer, some of his music has been used in commercials and movies.
Gonzalo now tours the country with his quartet not only for concerts but for Guitar Workshops as well.
