Bio

Gonzo started out as a group of best friends in high school wanting to start a rock band. It didn't take but one practice to realize we had what it took to write music. From there we had a strong 4 year stent of writing, recording, and performing our music anywhere we could. We often found it difficult to book shows because of our age. When we turned 18 booking show became easier, but was still very limited. After graduating high school we made the hard decision to end the band and pursue our college educations. 5 years later we are done with school and back together as a band. Don't be mistaken. Each member had their own journey with countless other failed music acts ranging from New York to Nashville. We can not be happier to finally be back playing and writing together as Gonzo once again. This is something that we know works and we all believe in.

The big thing that sets us apart from other bands is our chemistry. There is not many bonds that are stronger than a group of best friends from back home. We have all played in other groups were the other band members are random guys brought in to fill a position. As talented as the band might be, the chemistry is just not there and it shows on stage. A strong bond makes a strong band. Another thing we feel is important is we have always been a drug free band. When its time to preform or record in the studio its business time . We are very serious when it comes down to making sure we can perform our jobs and doing it at our fullest abilities.

We have many influences. Some of them include:
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Joe Walsh
AC/DC
Jet
Sliver Tide
Buck Cherry
Charmed City Devils
The Offspring
Metallica
Jimi Hendrix
Pearl Jam
Raconteurs
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Wooten Brothers Band
Derek Trucks Band

Just to name a few...
