GONZO

GONZO is an eclectic rock band from the heart of Oregon that is ready to expand it's roots. With a debut studio album on the way, second US tour in the works and a move to LA in their crosshairs, GONZO is proving that youthful drive can prevail in a competitive market.

After the release of their DIY EP "Midnight Fight", GONZO found themselves contacted by fans from all over the world who were enjoying the self-made, self released tunes, prompting a west coast tour that carried GONZO through Oregon, Nevada and California in 2016, acting as a catalyst for the creation of their 2017 studio album (Release date TBA).

 Recorded in Bend based Firing Room Studio, "Slideshow" is GONZO's ambitious debut. Drawing from a variety of influences, GONZO created an album that is all their own. Drummer Andrew Laflamme provides a solid no frills back bone that creates a driving force for each tune when paired with Jack Tobias' (Bass) kinetic and playful lines. Powerful rhythms are interlaced throughout, with everything from choppy rockto fluid and seamless pop and surf rock to boot. Flawless interplay between guitarists Ryan Pickard and Leo Dolan creates a solid dynamic platform and intriguing melodic dialogue on which the bands energy rests, while managing to leave room for the present and emotional voice of lead singer and lyricist Rickey Havern. Together, they create a melting pot of all of their influence. From 70's rock motifs to modern alternative hit makers, GONZO managed to meld many legendary eras of music into one cohesive statement that is "Slideshow".

 Enjoying a brief hiatus from heavy gigging in the late months of 2016, the members of GONZO have been spending time writing new material and preparing for the big moves to come. Since playing with California acts such as SWMRS, The Frights, No Parents and Sonny and the Sunsets, GONZO has settled on moving to the greater Los Angeles area in order to fill the increasing demand
