Bio

Goober and Company started when lead singer Josh Malcak decided that it was time to form a band. He began his quest to find the best of the best, And what he got was no exception. First off he had to find a drummer.

He started with Matt Griffin. Long time friend and ally. Matt agreed to join. They both deemed the name "Goober and Goober" .

Eventually just having a drummer (who could do back up vocals) wasn't enough. So Matt and Josh brought on Manuel De La Rosa (Bassist / Keyboardist).

Manuel (or "Manny" as Josh calls him) hails from Greenwood. Attended Roncalli HS and is going to IUPUI for Pre-med. But one thing Josh noticed right off the bat. Manny was good. So the duo became a trio.

As time passed Manny, Josh and Matt realized that they needed the help of a guitarist. So they brought on Morrie Meyers. Morrie was good. But couldn't devote the time to the band that he wanted to.

They had their first concert on April 24th 2008 in the new IUPUI campus Center. After their first concert Matt and Morrie proceeded to persue other musical endeavors. Josh and Manny were left without a guitarist or Drummer. This was a dilemma.

Spring turned into Summer. Manny and Josh searched high and low for someone. But finally Derek Flores showed up. Derek was more skilled at Spanish guitar and taught lessons on the side. Derek was a busy kid, but fit in some time to rehearse and Jam.

Aside from Derek Manny found a drummer named Eric (see a pattern?). Eric however was a busy guy and couldn't help the guys out. So that left Derek Manny and Josh in a bit of a jam. In July Derek left, but he brought on a friend of his Nick Jackson. Nick was good as a lead guitarist.

Josh met Robby Coleman and asked him to be the drummer for the band. Robby agreed. On September 26th 2008 GaCo performed at IUPUI's Got Talent and got second place to Samantha Payne. Soon after that Nick left. Manny and Josh were starting to lose hope.

In October they met one musician after another. Mike "Paco" Maritnez (from Tuscon) and Michael Krause from Noblesville. So now the band consists of five members. Which means that they now have the sound they want. With two guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and a lead singer, they have everything they need! Goober & Company is starting to gain momentum!

A lot of good press has been sent out about them, Just hear these great reviews.

"I hired Goober And Company to play at my campus function and they were great!" - Tom Simon

"When a friend told me about Goober and Company I was all over having a cover band at my dinner party. I never knew they would be so prompt and so clean when they showed up! Nice guys!" - Steve Hughes.

As you can see. Goober and Company is full of great people with wonderful ambitions.
