The Screens EP: Spring 2011

Bio

Good Game was born on the rooftops of Granada in 2008 when three friends from Sheffield decided to form a band that would sound like Spanish robots playing guitars. On returning from the trip, they duly bought instruments and by 2010 were playing gigs, employing their laptop, Digital Dave on drums.

Lyrically, Good Game are truly unique, painting an accurate picture of growing up in late-modern England. Unlike other generic indie bands, Good Game write songs about genuinely interesting and original topics from Youtube arguments (Half Life) to Moroccan beach resorts (Essaouira) whilst still being able to connect with audiences around more common subject matters such as escapism (Behemoth),youthful indecision (Screens) and love-lost (Sevilla).

Musically, Good Game have managed to develop interesting chord progressions and songs which stray away from the standard verse/chorus structures whilst still maintaining an accessibility and catchiness. Sonically they are influenced greatly by 70s prog groups such as Pink Floyd as well as unavoidably by more recent indie bands such as Interpol.

Now based in Hackney, Good Game have been playing headline gigs in and around east and central London as well as in their hometown and are looking forward to the release of their debut 'Screens' EP this spring, prospective remixes of their single 'half life', and an upcoming interview with Fan the Fire Magazine.
