"... With soprano saxophone, 12-stringed guitar and accordion this young and new trio, very carefully move things around in the Swedish folk music scene. One of the finest debut albums for a long time." - Patrik Lindgren
"... Most of the tunes are polskas and the melodies, almost all of them originals, are elegant and kind. It's useful music, maybe for movies or TV, but also as some kind of soundtrack of the Autumn." (4/5) - Po Tidholm
"... Some debuts are so promising that you just want to fast forward to the next album at once. This album is one of that kind.... Polskas, schottises and waltzes are mixed with a feeling of the present. The music was recorded during two winter days, eventhough it primarily smells of new lawned grass." (3/5) - Ola Claesson

Goodland Trio is three established Swedish folk musicians of today, based in Gteborg. This colorful band is welcoming the listener to their warm soundscape and contemporary traditional music.
The repertoir of the trio consists mainly of original tunes, composed by the members of the group, with a distinct nordic sound. With soprano saxophone, accordion and guitar, Goodland Trio plays polskas, waltzes and other common Swedish types of tunes. Their music wavers between the traditional and the contemporary, with influences of pop and improvised music.
In 2011 they released their critically acclaimed debute album and have since then been touring extensively. Goodland Trios second album, Skogen i staden, will be released in May 2014 .
