""Sugar Rush""

"Sugar Rush" has quick punchy lyrics and is musically strong creating a perfect envelope for the vocal style. The arrangement is well done. This is a great song all around. - Holly Hutchison

Bio

Powerful melodies, dynamic vocals, and heartfelt lyrics defines the rich sound that makes Good Luck Jane . Backed by a variety of orchestral support beyond the guitars and drums, the group incorporates strings, and some electronic production to give them a unique style. Good Luck Jane began to take shape as early as 2007 when Andrew (Lead Guitarist/Keyboardist) and Jake (Drums) began forming their own high school bands. Upon entering college, they were the only two to end up at the same university, where they would waste no time building a new band.

Within the first few months of college, Jake and Andrew met Dan and invited him to join the project, also adding Joey on lead vocals after Jake saw a video showing his exceptional vocal talent. The guys met Danny as he was a bassist for another band. They quickly enjoyed his energy and skill level and wanted to bring him in. The band was complete.

They have released two EP's since 2009. Their first EP "Word of The Week" resembles their pop/rock era, largely driven by influences like Fall Out Boy, The Rocket Summer, and Every Avenue. Their most current EP "Crossing Borders" resembles their sonic change to a more contemporary Alternative/Rock. On this album, orchestral sounds and energizing instrumental breaks highlight a different process for the band while making music. The group released their current single "Sugar Rush" in July 2011, which marks a checkpoint in the transformation out of Pop/Punk. "Sugar Rush" will become another stepping stone as they venture into the studio once again to release another EP late 2011.

Good Luck Jane has performed live on Good Morning America (ABC), Chicago's Morning News (WGN). They have also been featured in The Daily Herald, and many college newspapers. They have placed two tracks in a national TV commercial campaign for The University of Illinois that airs regularly on The Big Ten Network. They have appeared on radio stations such as Kiss 103.5FM, Fearless Radio, KRUI FM Iowa City, and other podcasts. They earned a spot at the 2011 Van's Warped Tour in Tinley Park, IL.

Good Luck Jane has shared the stage with artists such as All Time Low, Yellowcard, Boyce Avenue, Mike Posner, Hey Monday, The Summer Set, 2AM Club, Lucky Boys Confusion, South Jordan, Dot Dot Dot, Mark Rose of Spitalfield, This Love, and many more.
