Heard any Good News lately? Led by songwriters Don Maresh and Greg Doyle, Good News Praise Band leads worship at Discovery Christian Church, Moreno Valley, California. The songs are original, uplifting, God-centered, and guitar-driven. Please stop by and listen! God is closer than you think.

Biography

Good News Praise Band has its origins in the local church. Co-leaders/songwriters Don Maresh and Greg Doyle both are fans of The Beatles. They have been leading worship together for nearly 18 years at Discovery Christian Church.

In 1999, Pastor Robert Mink arranged a meeting with producer Stan Endicott and Good News Praise Band was born through the band's first "live-audience" recording of "No Other God" in 2000. The band has three CDs of original music to their credit, containing 57 praise and worship songs.

Good News Praise Band hopes to spread the "good news" of Jesus Christ through powerfully written lyrics, memorable melodies, and lots of heart. It is the whole reason we write and record our music: for God's glory!

Lyrics

Just One Moment

Written By: Don Maresh and Greg Doyle

What must I do to convince you?
There are no magic tricks up my sleeve.
Though your eyes cannot see into Heaven,
still a blind man would know to believe.

Why do you question my motives,
when you will not receive what you've heard?
Though your ears cannot hear but a whisper,
I have spoken the truth in My Word.

If I parted the Red Sea before you,
if I wrote every thought down in stone,
if I came down in fire on a mountain,
would you still have the doubts that you own?
If I gave you the best I could offer,
if I died in your place, would you see?
I'd move Heaven and Earth,
if I thought it was worth,
just one moment
that you would believe.

When have I not told you, "I love you?"
Still you cling to the pain that you bear.
If a prayer in your heart goes unanswered,
does that prove to you I AM not there?

How much longer must I bear your absence?
Tell me, why must I love from afar?
For I never forgot for one moment
what a beautiful child that you are.

(repeat)

I'd move Heaven and Earth,
if I thought it was worth,
just one moment
that you would believe.

Lord, You moved Heaven and Earth,
for you knew of my worth.
Lord, this moment I do believe.
Yes, this moment I do believe.

Shades Of Gray

Written By: Don Maresh and Greg Doyle

Cast down in darkness, drawn into light,
the Unseen Spirit alters my sight.
Though shadows linger ere break of day,
I am still walking through shades of gray.

The storm approaches, what do I see?
No tempest's fury can hinder me.
And only doubt and sin bar my way.
I am still walking through shades of gray.

In shades of gray I walk each day.
Behold! The Master still guides my way.
Once all I saw seemed black and white.
But now, by faith, I need not sight,
on narrow paths, though I may stray,
Jesus keeps shining through shades of gray,
oo-oo-oo-oo.

Through my afflictions, each one a test,
The choices offered, I'll give my best.
Yet should I falter, what shall I say?
Christ walks beside me through shades of gray.

In shades of gray I walk each day.
Behold! The Master still guides my way.
Once all I saw seemed black and white.
But now, by faith, I need not sight,
on narrow paths, though I may stray,
Jesus keeps shining through shades of gray,
oo-oo-oo-oo.

Shades of gray, through shades of gray.

In shades of gray I walk each day.
Behold! The Master still guides my way.
Once all I saw seemed black and white.
But now, by faith, I need not sight,
on narrow paths, though I may stray,
Jesus keeps shining through shades of gray,
oo-oo-oo-oo. (repeat)

Through shades of gray.

Daily Bread

Written By: Don Maresh and Greg Doyle

In the beginning,
a voice was heard,
(Let there be light!),
And all Creation
answered every word.
Until the end of time it has to be,
Lord, You have given
everything to me.

From the air that I breathe,
everything that I need,
every word God has said,
Jesus, You keep me fed.
You are my daily bread, oo-oo,
my daily bread.

A light was shining
in those days gone by.
God came to live as man,
Christ came to die.
His body broken,
Jesus' blood was shed.
The man of God
sent as my daily bread.

From the air that I breathe,
everything that I need,
every word God has said,
Jesus, You keep me fed.
You are my daily bread, oo-oo,
my daily bread.

You fill my hunger.
You quench my thirst.
Your bread of life
has ended my search. (repeat)

From the air that I breathe,
everything that I need,
every word God has said,
Jesus, You keep me fed. (repeat)

You are my daily bread, oo-oo,
my daily bread.
