From Lonely Vagabond:

"Fueled by soaring choruses, keyboards, and guitar-driven energy, this is a band that takes rock-influenced indie-pop, and sculpts it into a dizzying, energetic performance."

Biography

Consisting of four small-town songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, Good Times Running formed in Toronto in February of 2010 and has been on a steady rise through the local scene ever since. Nominated for a Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Live Electric (one of five finalists) based on their very first performance, the band has only begun to show what they are capable of. As well as the TIMA's, Good Times Running also played to a full house at Czehoski during NXNE 2010, and have played venues in the city as diverse as Wrongbar, Rancho Relaxo, Mitzi's Sister, The Velvet Underground, Tiger Bar, Bread & Circus, The Central, The Hideout, The Hard Luck Bar, and College St. Bar. Good Times Running have also played with many of the best local bands around, having shared bills with The Wilderness, Bravestation, Freedom or Death, The Johnson Report, The Formalists, The Body Electric, The Neighbourhood Watch, and Radio Friendly.

The energy that Good Times Running brings to their live shows has garnered comparisons to bands like Talking Heads and Arcade Fire, and they always make sure the crowd leaves as sweaty and pumped up as they are after a show. Fusing electronic keyboard tones with aggressive guitar stylings and passionate vocals, the Good Times Running sound draws from a variety of influences but always keeps a focus on big choruses and pop hooks. Upon your first time seeing the band, there will be at least one chorus floating through your head for days afterwards...

Good Times Running is in the midst of recording their debut EP, which should see release in Spring/Summer 2011.
