Bio

Charles “Goody” Goodrich is a 20 year old Chicago based Hip-Hop artist. Born on the Chicago’s Southside, Goody uses life experiences as the content in his music. However, music was never a career choice for Goody, who focused more on sports growing up. He used baseball and basketball as a tool to stay occupied and away from the trouble that surrounded him as a teen in Chicago. He first started recording music in the 11th grade with his friend who had a studio in his basement, but never took it serious. As a teenager he took notice to the musical influence throughout his family in which two of his Uncles were in Jazz bands. He is also the younger cousin to “Prolyfic,” Grammy nominated producer for Lupe Fiasco, Drake, Jeremih, Jazmine Sullivan, and more. Goody’s personal music influence comes from the top rap artist during the 90’s era such as Nas, Jay-Z, Mase, Notorious B.I.G, Tupac, and Puffy. These influences have helped him shape his sound and approach to his songs. Recently Goody released a two for one video for the song “Good Gone Bad.” The video makes a transition halfway into the video to a song called “Ain’t Nun Change”. Goody’s verses consist of intricate flows, witty metaphors, and aggressive punchlines much like his idols. Goody is currently working on his debut project.
