Bio

Gordon Bennett - this unsigned band of brothers is the next big thing to break out of Detroit. Building a loyal fan base across America, the rock trio consisting of frontman/guitarist Tommy Peacock and twin brothers Tim Webber (drums/vocals) and Matt Webber (bass/vocals) tour and record constantly. Exciting and unique for the ever changing music industry, Gordon Bennett gives the rock world hope that it still can rock n' roll.

Only in their early twenties, Gordon Bennett have already been writing and performing for twelve years. During the 7th grade in Rochester, Michigan, Nova Scotia native Tommy Peacock and Los Angeles born twin brothers Matt and Tim Webber began rehearsing and planning what would later become Gordon Bennett. Shortly after beginning their college careers, the founding members decided to pursue the band full time.

At the urging of fans, Gordon Bennett released a demo CD in December of 2002 consisting of tracks originally recorded three years earlier. Aptly titled Gordon Bennett, the album became a bible among fans. In late 2002, the band headed back into the studio to record Day and the Decade. The new album premiered in February, 2003 to a sold out crowd at the Magic Bag theater in Detroit. In the last few years the band has been using the internet to get their music out to the masses. "We've been recording 2-3 new songs every few months. We'll turn right around and have the material available at gordonbennettband.com for free download. At this point in the game it's more important for our fans to have the music then to make a quick buck," explains Tim Webber.

The live stage is the band's playground to display a diverse-range of original material. Although primarily a rock/pop act, Gordon Bennett doesn't shy away from other musical roots. Fans have praised the band for their all-out blues jams and their police-style reggae grooves. Overall, the main focus of discussion tends to be the band's energy. "I think people like our high-energy shows," says lead vocalist Tommy Peacock. "We are a band that goes above and beyond. People are into our energy. People are into our sweat."

Drummer Tim Webber attributes the band's drive to a common love for a classic guitar-driven sound and the ability to create a powerful atmosphere in which "something's about to happen in the next minute. You know, people are on the edge of their seat"... "We all have the knack and love for rock. We're all about the show. You've got to love what you do if it's for nobody or if it's for thousands at Wembly Stadium. Our thing is just to play, play, play."

Armed with one Tommy Peacock, a powerful twin-brother drum & bass combo, amazing vocal harmonies and a full-throttled stage show, Gordon Bennett is on their way to world-wide stardom. During the next year they'll continue writing and recording while pursuing U.S. and international touring opportunities both alone and with national acts. For now you can catch the band trailblazing America while seeking a major label deal.
