Go Seek have got to be one of the world’s most enthusiastic and successful independent self-promoters in the children‘s music business. Within a few years they’ve gone from being almost completely unknown to being super popular, playing at many of Australia’s top children’s venues. Their vibrant high energy shows, and links with children’s entertainment like Club Med Lindeman Island's Kidz World, Wonderland, and Luna Park, along with school visits, accreditation from the NSW Department of Education and Training, and a new exercise program have secured them a firm place in the world of positive music for children. Their songs are catchy, dance oriented, and very positive.

Go Seek have just released their third CD, You Can Do It, and if it is possible, this is their most upbeat CD so far. For young children who love pop music, the messages on this new CD will encourage them to believe in themselves, to pretend and have fun, to think about colours, enjoy life, get active, use their imaginations, and appreciate their friends. In a world full of negativity, these are important messages to get out to kids. Keren and Simone have good voices and their enthusiasm and high energy is infectious. This CD is great for exercise and dance parties, and has a nice balance of fast, bouncy pieces, and slower ones like “The Little Things,” or “Friends.”

You Can Do It! Is a positive offering which children aged 4 to about 12 will enjoy. If you’re looking for a way to get your children moving, this is it. For more information visit: www.goseek.com.au

"Review of It's a Colourful World CD"

Keren and Simone, the colourful duo of Go Seek! are back with their third CD, It‘s A Colourful World. Fans will appreciate the bouncy, bubbly, danceable beat and the continued focus on positive thinking, and movement. The songs are geared to Australian preschool aged children, and tackle a range of child oriented concepts such as dance, exercise, road safety, colour, growing up, going to the circus, animals, celebrations, healthy eating, music from around the world, seasons, taking care in the snow and sun, and feeling good about life. The messages are all good, and the catchy music is positive and easy for children to get into.

The songs try to be interactive, and encourage children to get involved, thinking, moving, and playing along with the girls. For those living in Sydney or around NSW, Go Seek! are regular and accessible performers, and there are plenty of opportunities to see the act live, or participate in one of their many workshops. For everyone else, the CD is bright and hard to listen to without joining in the dance and song. Children will enjoy singing about healthy foods, about careers, about special trips and their birthday:

The time has come,
My special day
There’s a feeling in the air
Now what am I gonna wear
It’s my birthday
And I want you there!

Everything is very simple, but the sound is varied by the use of different instruments and special effects (like crowing roosters and quacking ducks or whistles), and Keren and Simone’s happy banter will keep children involved. Children will feel as though they know these two girls with their bright clothing and hair accessories, the easy lyrics and child orientation. The team are accredited by the NSW Dept of Education and Training and the CD is clearly geared towards teaching young children. Most of the songs are fast moving, but there are a few slower ones in the mix, and children will be able to have quiet moments among their dancing. This is a good one for preschool parties, for gifts, or just for listening. If you’re tired of children performer mega stars and are looking for an independent all Australian offering full of positive and healthy messages and an easy light beat, Go Seek! is a good choice.

Bio

Keren Alexander is an enthusiastic and passionate singer/songwriter.
Coming from a very musical family, Keren’s interest in music began from a very early age. Learning the piano from the age of 4, and singing in choirs throughout her school years, Keren began to write her own songs from the age of 11. Always being asked to write for family occasions such as engagements, weddings, birthdays and more, Keren began to build up quite a repertoire of original songs. Keren’s song writing includes a variety of styles such as pop, ballads, funk, rock and children’s music.

After completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) Degree at Macquarie University Keren worked as a therapist for children with Autism. She also supported children with learning difficulties and special needs. Other work history included pre-school teaching, teacher's aid, graphic design, sales, hospitality, promotions, event coordination, marketing and recruitment.

One day whist working at a pre-school Keren played one of her original children’s songs for the kids. They absolutely loved it and Keren went home that day and began to really think about her 3 passions in life: “music”, “psychology” and “children”.

Keren soon went on to create, produce and promote a successful independent children’s entertainment business called “Go Seek!” Go Seek currently produces exciting, interactive, musical shows incorporating clever props, bright funky costumes, catchy music, exciting storylines, high-energy routines and frequent opportunities for audience interaction!

Within a few years “Go Seek!” went from being almost completely unknown to being super popular, playing at many of Australia’s top venues such as Club Med Lindeman Island's Kidz World, Darling Harbour, Darwin Festival and Luna Park and many more!

Keren thoroughly enjoys producing and performing in the vibrant high energy shows as well as writing the music and running the business. Keren’s children’s music is catchy, dance oriented, and very positive.

Keren also takes the “Go Seek! “shows to schools and pre-schools and has accreditation from the NSW Department of Education and Training.

Recently Keren expanded the concept of “Go Seek!” to include a range of entertainment options including, Go Seek Musical Shows, workshops, face painting & roving character entertainers which has secured a firm place in the world of positive music & entertainment for children.

Go Seek have just released their award winning "Super Strong Bones" DVD & 3rd CD called "You can do it" both are loaded with amazing songs, featuring hits like “You can do it!”, “Friends”, “Holiday Destination”, Super Strong Bones, and “Imagination”,. These fun-filled albums mix catchy beats, intelligent lyrics with great harmonies! For children who love pop music, the messages on this new DVD & all Go Seek CDs will encourage them to believe in themselves, to pretend and have fun, to think about colours, enjoy life, get active, use their imaginations, and appreciate their friends. In a world full of negativity, these are important messages to get out to kids.

Keren‘s enthusiasm and high energy is infectious. She loves what she does and always strives to consistently produce the highest of quality in whatever she sets out to achieve. Keren loves a challenge!

Keren is currently developing a children’s television program based on the “Go Seek” shows, themes and music.
