Gossard

Gossard is a band about real music. We are tired of the swing in the industry towards poppy, spiky hair groups, that can't even call themselves bands because they are more like barbershop singers than bands. Or you have your solo artists that haven't taken the time to write an original song. Gossard is about sitting down and jamming until a sound is produced that has mass appeal but without the drum machines, or a vain attempt at hitting the hip-hop scene, not to mention any names, Madonna. We write lyrics that we want people to feel, if our listeners don't relate to what we are saying, we aren't doing what we set out to do. I know at this point who ever is reading this is thinking, who doesn't try to write mass apeal rock that people relate to? Our musical influences range from classic rockers such as Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zepelin, the grunge era of Pearl Jam, the Toadies, and Nirvana, to Dave Mathews Band, Foo Fighters, and Radiohead. We really believe that soon we will break through and get some of our music out to wanting ears. There is a drought in the music industry right now for real rock. Our goal is to end the drought, swing back from the reoccuring nightmare of New Kids on the Block or Backdoor Boys, excuse me, Backstreet Boys. Society goes through trends, we just hope that we can end the trend of shit music in the mainstream. It's all marketing anyway. Are you listening MTV?!!
