With a style and sound reminiscent of 90s alternative, L.A.-based rock band Go Sunday has crept up with a modern twist to form a cool blend of music. I got a sneak-peek at their upcoming song “Shut Up”, a very catchy jam, and my expectations are high for their new set of recordings. This band is one that’s not so much in-your-face, but for sure more of a relaxed group of musicians who are not above playing arcade games or a sense of humor. So as not to encourage her love of handbags, I was jokingly asked not to compliment front-girl Ashley Bowman’s style out loud anymore, but behind this cute chick are vocals that can pack a punch in songs like “Another Day.” Although their sound reminds me of an updated Bif Naked, each band members come from a mix of influences, from REO Speedwagon to techno. The result is SoCal music that sets the perfect scene for the end-of-the-day at the beach. - Plaster Magazine
