Grace Angel Band was formed when three talented musicians who love gospel music came together to play music at their local church and the prison church ministry in Central California. The successful response to their blended harmonies and style of acoustic music led to recording of their new CD, "Top of the Mountain."

Tracy Barns (guitar and vocals) and Maria Weir Werth (bass and vocals) are sisters and have been making music together since growing up in a musical family. They began her musical careers performing with their brothers and sisters in a 9-piece family band called “The Weirz”. The band toured throughout the United States and Canada, and also backed up younger brother, Michael Damian, “Rock On Tour”. In the 90’s, Maria teamed up with sister, Tracy (a Nashville award winning performer), playing the Palomino, Buck Owens Crystal Palace and other venues to showcase their original tunes.

Tracy & Maria continue to write, record and perform around the Central and Southern California area together and also with other musical groups. They work together with Tommy Hays and the Western Swingsters and produced his CD as well as Jimmy Phillips new gospel CD, “Pray Every Day.”

This year with the addition of Jerry Mulkins, they formed the Grace Angel Band and recorded their first CD called, “Top of the Mountain.” The CD has a selection of original tunes and traditional gospel songs with a great acoustic harmonic blend of talent.

Jerry Mulkins is a great acoustic, blues and country guitarist and has been playing for more than forty-five years. He has performed with Lisa Bowman at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield for many years and is the lead guitarist and composer for a group called, “Blue Mustard.”
