Biography

Grace's style is a smooth fusion of gospel, r&b and soul. A
captivating singer, guaranteed to wow an audience. Awarded Most Promising Artist at the 2011 Pacific Music Awards and featured/performed on shows like Homai te Pakipaki, The Code (Hyundai), Rugby League matches & awards dinners and many events. Worked alongside Stan Walker, Erakah, Adeaze, and many more.

Grace Ikenasio hails from a West Auckland Samoan family of six. Recently completed a Bachelor of Music at Auckland University, teaching at an Auckland Intermediate School and currently studying towards a postgraduate diploma in teaching.

She started singing when she was 5 by imitating what she saw and heard on TV and radio and was playing piano in the church band by age 12.

She has performed at a variety of talent competitions and events all over Auckland eg. fundraisers, concerts, festivals, tours, weddings, birthdays & corporate events.

Her influences include Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys who she had the opportunity to meet here in Auckland 2009.

Grace has been writing her own songs since age 14 which are a blend of hip hop, jazz, pop and R&B. She has recorded her debut EP which will hopefully be released sometime soon.
