grace of terror

Grace Of Terror's music is diverse, electric and unique. They are bringing back melodic vocals and twin guitar harmonies. It is 80's metal, meets thrash and little progressive rock, with a power packed stage performance.

Out of the shadows, comes an explosive and diverse metal band, Grace of Terror. Hailing from Deep South Texas, these young and fantastically talented guys have proven to be a force to reckon with. They have taken first place at a local battle of the bands, made the Top 10 on a local radio station’s battle of the bands, and were chosen to continue into the second round of Project Independent; here, they were one out of eight bands chosen to represent Texas in the national competition. They have shared the stage with some of the Rio Grande Valley’s top artists, such as, Black Tora (formally known as Warryor), Methmare Motorcade, Stillborne, Ram Danesse and the Trio, Broken Poets, The Jericho Machine, Obscurity, The Livends, Diversify, Threat of Tomorrow, Dreadscape, Espina, The Ali Cat Project, Superzero and Hybrid, just to name a few. They have also had the pleasure to play with Bangladesh (Austin, TX), Structure (San Antonio, TX), Terraseria (MX), Ninetail (Pennsylvania), Twila Reid (Orange County, CA), Insecticide (Los Angeles, CA), and member of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Marky Ramone (drummer for the Ramones). They have played countless shows in and around the valley, delivering a heart- pounding performance each time. In October 2008, they caught the attention of Producer, Harvey Barr, and were signed to A&S Records. The debut album is now available online and will be sold as hard copies with a barcode soon. They have achieved all this in only two short years, and are all under the age of 20. Mike Vidal (Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar), Julio Castaneda (Vocals, Guitar), Stephen Soliz (Bass), and Isaac Gonzales (Keyboards, Drums, Vocals) are heavily influenced by Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica and other great heavy metal bands of the 80’s. Each has a unique quality that they bring to the table and it is evident in their music. You never know what to expect with these guys. They have a bright future waiting for them and are ready to take on the world. Watch your back…G.O.T. Metal?
