Bio
A first-generation american, Graeme Winder was born May 24th, 1978 in Royal Oak, MI to his Scottish mother and New Zealander father. His path began to reveal itself at age 5 when his fingers first plunked across the keys of a tiny upright piano, a gift from neighbors leaving town. 8 years of traditional piano study followed until Graeme quit at the age of 13, heeding the inner voice leading him to compose and self-teach.
In college, Graeme’s independent spirit led him to attempt a double major Music and Biology at Colorado State University. Because his philosophy and those of his music professors didn’t agree, Graeme dropped out of music college and graduated with a B.S. in Biology.
However, Graeme's true calling had always been music and this realization occurred to him shortly after several failed attempts in the medical field.
Fast-forward two years to November 11th, 2006 — the site of Graeme’s first live on-stage performance. The sold-out "Concert in the Canyon" was a huge success and became the cornerstone that gave him the confidence to pursue his music full-time.
Shortly after, Graeme began on the album, "Solace" — a labor of love over twenty months in the making.
Currently, Graeme is preparing for the release his first professional album titled "Solace".
