Grafiq Malachi Sebek
(Ultramagnetic MCs)

As told from the 1st, 2nd &
3rd person perspectives...

Born and raised in the Germantown Sextion of Philly, a warrior was created by the streets an the love hip hop, and from the darkness emerged the gith that would come to shing on the world through his lyrics. Grafiq started rhyming at the age of 14, and was in a group that never went no where because of personal differences between Grafiq and the other half. Determined to make it happen, Grafiq started hustling trying to get the paper, with a baby mama with the drama plus the daughter...With his dreams on the line for years, Grafiq was caught in the struggle. From North Philly's Badlands to the bottom of West Philly, Grafiq stayed on the grind. But the drug game wasn't good to him, he could never blow the way he wanted to...that didn't stop Grafiq,,he kept rhyming for years after that.

His little brother Dark Fade, his niggas Diz, Jiz, Chris Banks told me to keep at it, my little sister from my block Anita always supported me from day one, but still didn't know how I was going to make it happen. Gref med Ed Manning and Shafiq Samaad while they were all working as security guards at the Budd Companhy in Philly. Ed introduced Grafiq to Knowledge of Self, through such books as "Heal Thy Self" and "The Metu Netr" and "The Tree of Life".

After that Grafiq and Shafiq formed the School of Mystics. At that time, Shafiq was messing with this kid named Thorpe on the production, charging him mad loot for wak beats. Graf told Shafiq they gotta get our studio equipment. Grafiq and Shafiq started grinding to get equipment. They went through some shit over the money, but that's fam in this so they just left it along until Shafiq got some change from his income tax and they got the AKAI MPC 2000. Grafiq and Shafiq decided to go to school to get their lives right. Both took the admission test to Devry...Grafiq passed the test, Shafiq didn't...because he had too much streets on his mind.

Grafiq left Philly at age 25 to attend Devry in North Brunswick, NY where he met a fre fats that shared the same view points on hip hop and consciousness: Son, 9th Element, Nushawn and Elequence.

The new crew hung out at Grafiq's apartment, where they started The Universalites. Like any other group, they had drama among themselves that prevented their first album from getting done...til now. Look for it to drop soon, featuring Grafiq, Son and Elequence.

After leaving Brunswick, Grafiq moved to Bed Sty Brooklyn, and from there to Harlem, where he worde at MCI/Worldcom as a telecommunications technicial. One day while riding down Lenox Ave with his girl, Grafiq swore he saw Ced Gee from Ultramagnetic MCs, but was like "nah, couldn't be".

Then he ran into him at this function in Manhattan...and was was like he wanted tow ork with him on some music. Ced was a real nigga, hit him off with the number to link up. That's what's up...Grafiq met a lot of other rappers out there who fronted...all except Cappadonna, 5Ft from Black Moon, Jeru the Damaja, Doug E. Fresh and Dana Dane.

Ced was workin on his album in the studio, hit Graf up with some studio time. Graf was wack on the track, do they trashed it. Ced worked with Grafiq, showed him how to formulate songs and from there, Ced, Grafiq & 9th Element became The Fachshen.

They got some shit for heads. Representing the real hip hop.
