Still working on that hot first release.

As a child growing up in London, I was always singing and buying music magazines to find out the latest song lyrics. I can remember warbling along to David Bowie, The Eagles, Bread, Elton John, Queen, Squeeze, The Police, all the Glam Rock bands and teeny boppers but I didn’t ever think that I had it in me to write my own songs and life took over anyway. It was only when I hit a bit of a midlife crash that I picked up a guitar, taught myself to play a little and started writing songs. After receiving some amazing feedback from Industry pros, Tutors and Artists, I am pretty much writing full time and looking to make it as a professional songwriter. The first song I wrote reached the semi finals of the UK Songwriters competition. I've also been approached by four different artists who want to record my songs and have started to collaborate with two major award winning writers; Debbie Pascarella - The VH-1 American new songwriter of the year 2008 and Simon Kaviani, winner of the Best song and Best Band at Brian Mays Riffathon 2006. I'm currently writing with, and for, Rowena Poole, whose amazing vocals you can hear on this demo and I look forward to hearing more of our co writes come to life over the coming months. There are other future projects being discussed with five other artists both sides of the pond but talk is cheap so I guess what I'm looking for is Industry respect and recognition and to take that next step to actually living as a commercially successful Songwriter. I have no regrets though, I do wish I had done this years ago but I have so many life experiences to draw from, which I hope give my songs a little more credibility.
