Grain

Grain was born in Houston, Texas on September 6,1985 as Donald. Edward Williams II. He moved to Ozark, Alabama(where he calls home) as a child and there he was raised in a disciplined household. Living with his older brother and younger sister he grew up under the influences of his self-sustaining mother. While playing varsity basketball for Carroll High he was forced to move to St. Paul, MN. With no father figure, ungratified and discontent with learning how to be a man from a woman’s stand point he turned to the streets for direction. Motivation from rap muzik and being inspired to be prosperous he disciplined himself to get a high school diploma. After graduating from Arlington Sr. High School in 2004 and no where to live he made an immense decision to join the U.S. Army. Stationed to Mannheim, Germany he was then deployed to Iraq early 2005 thru 2006. Returning from his deployment and determined to make a successful name for himself, he and South Carolina artist Young Dirt started an overseas movement called Ground Up(from tha Ground and going Up). Living by the motto everyday above ground is a good day Grain strides to put himself in a league of his own by writing self-conscious, deliberate, and sincere lyrics with a dirty south flow…"A grain or seed can be one of the smallest elements on earth but with the right fertilization can grow to be one of the BIGGEST TREE'S in the forest!!!!!!!!!!"
