Biography

"It's the kid Gramz". Look I'ma keep It 100% wit ya'll for a minute. I doubt any of you have ever read my birth certificate, but if you did or one day you happen to come across that you would see my name is Frank Javier Colmenares. Alot of you ask where the name Gramz came from, I hear the speculation on a day to day basis, the side talk which consist of "he never sold drugs so why is his name gramz, he's not real", I'm not even gonna touch on that though or correct any judgements, but Gramz wasn't a title given to my by the outstanding amount of work I put in on the block, so to calm all the sidetalk listen up. Gramz is symbolic, the word gramz represents the hustle, it represents my hustle, music being my hustle & me being the product. Unlike finesse (1/3 of paid in full... check him out at www.myspace.com/realtalkofct) I have always seen rap as my way out, my only way out at that. Since I was 9 you could catch me freestylin' through my elemtary school hallways, local parties, streetcorners...etc Now at the age of 17, I have dropped 2 mixtapes (The Game Needs Me Vol.1 & 2. Get those if you haven't already) and currently in the process of completing what's next to come. I'm not doing this because I want to, I'm doing this because I got to. Before my brother got locked up I promised him that I'm going to make it, I also promised my mother that I am going to get us up out the hood, And I'm A Man Of My Word.
