Grandamore

I am from Providence,Rhode Island, but i lived everywhere else.I currently reside between Connecticut and in New York City where I am recording my music.I truly believe that New York is a great place to start a music career because of the great variety of opportunities that present themselves to new artist like myself,and the hundreds of venues to perform at.And you never know who you will run into in the Big Apple! My father is from Harlem, New York Everything from the Apollo theatre to the jazz clubs make Harlem a musical mecca.Most of my family is in Jamaica,Queens New york that is my home away from home.I am african-american and sicilian,i have been learning italian since i was young.I have fans in italy who call me giacomo,but that is just one of my many knicknames that i was given.Grandamore is italian, its a mixture of the words (grande)means big and (amore) which means love in italian.I have a big love for music so i figured the name Grandamore fits me! I also know how important a music artists name is.I wanted to make sure my name would not be mistaken for any other artist in the music industry.I started out in other areas of music like breakdancing,and producing beats for other artist.I found myself writing alot of music to my beats,and then recording my voice over the beat to convince the artist that it could be a great song.One of the artist listen to the song,and said that i can sing when i want too!He gave me some advice about enhancing my skills and i have been pushing forward with my own talents ever since.Yes i do write my own lyrics,and i do enjoy writing music.I think every artist should write at least some of their music because the artist can be themselves when they perform that song! Its truly their words no one else wrote it.Everything i have experienced in life comes out in my music.So many beautiful women inspire me to sing about love and passion,desire,and everything!I listen to a little bit of everything.
