"Youngstown Vindicator August 23, 2007"

"...For the past two years, Niles band Grand Fury has been laying rubber and taking no prisoners around Northeast Ohio with it's blistering hard-rock sound..." - Youngstown Vindicator

"Grand Fury, "Bison" *4 Flames*"

Grand Fury's album "Bison" is a record you can sink your teeth into; this is all hard, grinding rock that doesn't stop. Yet the songs don't get repetitive or dull. The final track, "Fields on High," while being a great finish to the record, also slows it down, stretching the song to more than seven minutes of heavy, lyrics-light rock goodness. "Bison" isn't a metal album at all, but it also isn't so hard and powerful as a rock album that it makes a mockery of itself. Songs like "Proles" and "Valkyries" are really gems of a classic rock sound in almost everyway. If it weren't for the better sound quality, this album might have been recorded in the seventies. Fortunately for us, Grand Fury exists in 2008 and is bringing a great classic sound back to rock music.

"Bison - Review"

At first listen, local band Grand Fury’s first attempt at a full-length CD sounds like today’s rock being made in the 1970s.

And it still does, sort of. “Bison’s” overall sound is a mix of dirty ‘70s rock with an intermittent uppity ‘80s feel.

If you were a fan of their early work, you should like “Bison.” Though it’s a little harder, it’s a fun listen filled with catchy lyrics that’s perfect for highway driving.
