Grand Marqui$

Unquestionably there’s definitely a place for Grand Marqui$ in the forever changing music industry. Being able to walk the line few artist are able to accomplish, between hip-hop and pop music, Grand Marqui$ has the sound and the look to be the next to join the most elite. Best known as a member of his local Atlanta group T-N-N, Grand Marqui$ is set out to make his mark as a solo act.

“I just want to be able to connect with everybody, not just one race or ethnic group” says the crafty artist, born Marquis Grace. Raised on the south side of Atlanta, the Clayton County area is where his musical interest began. At the tender age of 12 he recorded his first song over a track he made on a Yamaha keyboard and a dual cassette karaoke machine, in which both were Christmas gifts. From there he went on to join his middle school band, where he played percussion, a skill he quickly caught on to. He became the “go to guy” for any rap battle or freestyle session. This would continue on through his High School years where he became popular for his ability to freestyle and use witty punch lines. This is the time he formed his group “T.N.N.”

After Graduating High School Grand Marqui$ pursued his interest for music by enrolling in American Intercontinental University’s music production program, to learn more of the engineering side of music. After less than a year Grand Marqui$ dropped out of A.I.U. to pursue music full time. He purchased music recording equipment with the knowledge he learn from A.I.U.’s program to start recording himself. At that time Grand Marqui$ began perfecting his craft by making over 200 tracks and recording over 100 songs. “If I want to be able to consider myself among the best, I have to practice like the best” says Grand Marqui$

Currently working on his first solo project, “Grand Opening: The Mixtape” Grand Marquis is definitely becoming a hot topic and nothing short of a musical genius. Creating a unique sound, by producing his tracks and writing his songs, will not be a problem for the young charismatic musician. Without a doubt Grand Marqui$ will surely be a name that will be recognized throughout the music industry for years to come.
