GrandMasterPhraze was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. His interest in being a musical artist began with an interest in rap music. He then developed an interest in R&B and Reggae music. One of his talents that shines the most is his writing. GrandMasterPhraze prefers talent and skill over image or swag. He has been inspired by artists like Mos Def, Method Man, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, KRS1, Rakim, and Public Enemy. His mission is to bring back the soul moving quality that has been missing for decades. - Burninneed

It is a composition of God's Word delivered through contemporary R&B, traditional Gospel, and Hip Hop expressions. GrandmasterPhraze hails from the West Coast city of Los Angeles.  His mission is to bring back the skill and pure talent of the art of music.  He wants to give meaning and inspiration to the industry. He began rapping in 1983 and credits his early influences to RUN DMC, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, and Kool Moe D.
