"Grand Society Breaks Out"

I have heard alot of music come and go through this area, but I have never heard anything like this. Grand Society has just released a demo that I feel will take them straight to the top.
Each song is diverse, and hits you straight in the heart. Derek Richardson, the lead singer, pulls you right into the music, and makes you feel every word. The guitar solos, the twin leads just won't let your attention wonder for even a moment. These five young men have come along way, and I feel they will continue to grow with their music, and will break into the industry with a bang very soon.

- Peggy Benson, Jefferson Post

"Worth Traveling For"

Chilly iceburg grooves smoothed out by hot steamy vocals and melodys make Grand Society worth seeing. - Nik Hope, FatsCats Music

"Come Watch"

I enjoyed their new disc and was reminded of the good ol southern rock we all love around here. The tunes are technically tight without losing their soul. I really dug the guitar solos and the drummer beats the shit out of his kit. Check em out at a venue near you! - Eric S, Hillside Tavern

Bio

Grand Society is a rock band based out of Jefferson, NC whom for the past four years have been playing clubs, bars, festivals, etc., in and around Jefferson, Wilkesboro, and the Boone areas.

The band began falling into place after a chance meeting between Derek and Jason erupting into the idea of a band. Derek knew Seth and Bryan, and Jason knew Daniel. The five started jammin' in an old mechanics shop where they began focusing on an original sound and ideas.

The sound came straight from the core of Rock & Roll influences by everything from Led Zeppelin, the Allmans & Rush up to Nirvana, STP, and Audioslave. The band fused together in a sound that is much different than most, by utilizing twin leads, extensive jams, and straight forward rock & roll with one foot in yesterday and one foot in today creating a most unique sound.
