Bio
The high-energy Grassahol music relies on tight vocal harmonies and great acoustic instrumentation: fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bass and guitar. Their music is a mix of the old, the new and a full measure of original songs.Their songs are a reflection of the many musical influences of the band members, themselves – blues, bluegrass, folk, jazz and rock.
Grassahol is based in Columbus, Ohio and entertains audiences across Ohio and the Midwest, from community events to county fairs to multi-band festivals – general audiences – young and old – in the city or out of town.
In 2011, Grassahol was invited to play at the Ohio Statehouse to launch Ohio Arts and Humanities Month by proclamation of Gov. Kasich. Grassahol has made numerous performances at the Ohio Governor’s Mansion to entertain the official guests of Gov. and Frances Strickland.
Many Ohio communities look to Grassahol to entertain at their civic events. Upper Arlington Spring Fling, Westerville's Fourth Friday Celebrations, Concertson the Green in Worthington, Ohio, The Columbus Museum of Art, Garden Concerts and many more.
