Grassroots Epidemic

Formed in the spring of 2010, Grassroots Epidemic is a Houston, TX based band intertwining musical genres of rock and reggae creating a unique sound of soulful rockin' music. While living in California, singer/songwriter/guitarist Henry Talavera of Sealy, TX discovered the surf/beach sub-culture music scene which influenced him to pick up a guitar and write. Lead guitarist Casey Salas, bassist Ray Babauta, and drummer Anthony Gomes are all originally from the Golden State and grew up on the various generas of music crankin' out of the surf and skate scene. It was destined that these laid back beach goin' bros would end up in Texas only to find their way into a garage playing music that takes them back to the nostalgia of the beach, the surf, and that special rock n reggae vibe. With influences from the shores of Southern California to the shores of Jamaica, Grassroots Epidemic's music will rock you and make your head bob to the beat. Soulful vocals, tasty guitar licks, groovin' basslines, and bangin' drums is the formula for their tasty music!
