Gravity Hill Jams

Coming out of Walton, KY, Gravity Hill was formed by two core members: Troy Brooks and Mike Barczak. Mike and Troy were friends throughout high school and have played in a couple of bands together. They both decided to attend the Chillicothe Recording Workshop in September '05. Along the way, Mike got a job at Guitar Center Cincinnati where Patrick Tomlin, an Ohio native, who had already graduated from the Recording Workshop two years prior, worked in the drum department. In late June '05, Patrick was the next to join the party. Some time went by before we learned of a bass player in the area through Kenny Potter, bass player for Sweet Ray Laurel. It only took one jam session to convince us this was it. Brandon Perry AKA Johnny Wastedface joined in Jan. '06. Because we wanted to be ready for our debut, we spent the next three months focusing all our energy toward writing and getting to know each other as musicians. After the first show at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY, the "project Gravity Hill" became a live experience. So now that the ball is rolling, we continue to write music and carve our image.
