"Graydon, Hacienda and Emily Wells Rock SXSW Thursday"

At 11:45 a.m., though, the street was empty and so was the downstairs room at Maggie Mae’s. On stage was Graydon, a young quartet from Los Angeles that plays melodic power pop and country-rock, featuring startlingly three-part vocal harmonies. They seemed delighted to be at SXSW—one member allowed that this was his first trip to Texas—and hardly cared that they played for only a few of us. “Let’s pretend it’s 11 o’clock and we’re all drunk,” said singer Matt Miller before they tossed off Little Richard’s “Lucille.” It was one of those great SXSW experiences: Stumbling into a set by a band that’s not only all but unknown, but doesn’t seem to know how good it is. - Wall Street Journal

"Gina Grad"

Graydon played on my show recently and completely restored my faith in new music. Their sound is this refreshing combination of joyous and soulful that I really appreciated. I was singing "What Can You Do" for the next 3 days with absolutely no regrets. These guys are pretty damn charming, too. - The Pretty Good Podcast

"CMJ 2009: Graydon @ The Delancey"

Though his solos are technically advanced, Miller manages to avoid the cheesiness typical of modern blues electric guitar solos. He is able to pull them off partially because each member of Graydon possesses a sincere stage presence that prevents the band from sounding overly polished. Each derives his strong presence from a previously established background in the music scene; Dilmore is a singer-songwriter, Kertes previously toured with Lenka, and Lucich toured with major acts like Queen Drake, Paula Cole, and Pat Monahan from Train. - Jezebelmusic.com

"Yessian @ CMJ 2009 - Night 2"

Another class-act performance from the LA band Graydon last night. We were hesitant in seeing any band twice during CMJ [b]ut when we heard last night was Graydon’s one-year anniversary as a band...we couldn’t say no. Our mouths agape with the band’s cover of The Who’s “The Seeker”,... we were pleasantly impressed and highly entertained. You boys are alarmingly good and we’re honored to have you on Dragonlicks. - The Power Of Sound (yessian.com/blog)

Bio

Graydon is a band.

They play rock n' roll.

Formed in the fall of 2008, Graydon has developed a high-energy, harmony-rich sound blending the music of the 60's with today's rock (once described as ‘somewhere between the Beatles and the Black Keys’). In only one year, they have played six packed shows at L.A.'s famed Hotel Café, performed at the 2009 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas, showcased at the CMJ Music Fest in NYC, booked two tours on the East Coast of America and have begun work on a debut album.

Prior to their formation, Matt, Matt, Ryan and Erik paved their own paths in the industry. Combined they have toured through 30 states, Europe, Asia and Australia. Members of Graydon have appeared on Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno, Craig Ferguson and more. Individually, they have worked with Grammy winning producers, platinum selling artists and have been mentored by rock n’ roll’s best talents. With years of experience already accrued, Graydon has quickly become one of L.A.’s premiere bands.

Graydon is currently in the studio working on their debut album. They can be seen next on March 13th at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, the fourth of a six show residency running until mid-April.
