Bio

In the beginning, there was a meeting of minds between two film students: Cerv (synth) and Hex S. (bass, drum prog.). influenced by the music of Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Massive Attack and Skinny Puppy, they matured into the group it is today. GDofN rides a sound that pays homage without being stuck in striped pants.

In 1999 Great Deal of Noise released their first self-titled demo to great reviews. In 2003, GDofN recorded 13 Convolutions with Neony V (vocals).

Neony V. left GDofN in 2006 to raise a family.

Great Deal of Noise went on a search for a new voice, for more than 2 years. The search then stopped when long-time friend and collaborator Denton Rock joined Cerv and Hex S. The choice was obvious and they were able to create together with great ease. Denton's rich, dark voice pulls the listeners through the melodic lines, dropping them into irresistible choruses.

From that moment on, the trio has kept to the current line-up for more than just a quick collaboration.
