Bio
BRENT HECKERMAN
Brent's orientation to songwriting is American roots with influences as diverse as Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Leonard Cohen, Hank Williams and Greg Brown. His songwriting approach is a blending of narrative (think Sherwood Anderson's "Winesburg, Ohio"), naturally rich vocals and original melodies. Brent's songcraft is a skillful weaving of folk, blues, country and jazz elements.
On stage, Brent plays a Larrivée acoustic guitar, which brings out the best of his dynamic range of acoustic sounds. In twenty-five years of playing and studying guitar, Brent has developed an original style that combines finger style folk and blues elements with a groove-saturated rhythm. Brent's groove approach to playing appeals to audiences of all age groups who find his performances to be engaging and memorable.
SCOTT CRADDOCK
Scott always amazes people with authentic guitar artistry from an impossibly diverse range of styles. Scott started playing in bands in Jr. High School, and is currently gaining mastery of the classical guitar. His major influences range from standard blues (Taj Mahal, Albert King and Luther Allison), to Texas blues (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter and ZZ Top), and from psychedelic rock (Jimi Hendrix and The Doors), to stadium rock (Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones) as well as classical guitar (Andres Segovia and Jullian Bream).
Scott executes his masterful playing with a customized Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 for slide work and the original Fender Stratocaster he’s been playing since he was a teenager. He has played over 300 gigs including fronting for some major acts, and his years of experience show through at every performance.
