Bio
Although Kane Stewart, former front chap to Adelaides Oi Oi Oi Were Goin down the Pub - Whiplash fame maybe in Darwin, he has managed to find a bunch of likely cohorts and put together another band of similar ilk. Greedy Stout has a slashing viola sound and thems fightin words lyrics. The songs are soused in beer, politics, fun and the odd bit of torment. Aya Laurie, bass player, has been playing music since she was six years old in her homeland Japan. Lewis Parsons the viola player is also an international with an early musical start. He has impressive stories to tell like touring Spain with and an orchestra, playing in a punk band in London and being a hair victim of the wonderful 80s New Wave cult. Drummer Tony Frey, a Brisbane lad, has a history of bands up and down the East Coast fitting in a Degree in Music in there somewhere. Then there is Kane Stewart singer, song writer and guitarist he too has a glorious past. Most notably would be Whiplash playing the festival circuit including Womad, The Adelaide Festival of Arts, The Adelaide Fringe Festival and the National Folk Festival. He is a born entertainer and knows how to drag the audience into the bowels of the music so that before they know it theyre kicking their heels up and yelling out whoops and what have yous. Greedy Stout rock.
