Tyet’s Campaign Song “Stand for Change” Is Taking America by Storm.
Tyet a band from Pittsburgh, PA moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue their dreams. Their campaign song may be the boost the Obama Campaign needs.
CALIFORNIA--- Recently, Tyet, a Bay area band’s campaign song “Stand for Change” premiered on XM Satellite radio on POTUS 08 on the ever increasingly popular “The Capitol Hill Blues” produced by Jason Anthony, the show airs Friday evening. You have heard all of the jokes and prank style campaign songs written for the Obama camp in recent months. This song does not belong in those categories. An unsigned band by the name of Tyet has written a very moving and poignant campaign song for Barack Obama. “We are excited that our song is receiving national coverage via XM radio. We also know that we are receiving hits on our myspace page which is www.myspace.com/tyetbiz The song is growing increasingly popular, it’s great to see how fast the song is catching on” says Brian Harris lead musician/songwriter for Tyet.
The band is from Pittsburgh, PA and recently moved to the Bay Area to pursue their dreams of being signed to a major label. One unique twist is the addition of musicians Chris Belin on drums and guitarist Matt Calvetti who both still reside in Pittsburgh PA. This demonstrates the national movement Obama has caused.
The song and the bands personal story are a direct reflection of the campaigns platform. The soulful “Stand for Change” tells of the bands inability to “make a way” in Pennsylvania and moving to California to chase their dreams. It takes you from their personal story to the state of America today. It also touches on most of the major issues of the campaign like global warming and the war in Iraq.
Bruce Harris singer/songwriter of Tyet says, “We only hope that our message reaches the Obama campaign. I believe that we can be an extra energizer to reach more youth. Its time Obama supporters unite across America to lift this facade that John McCain should lead this country. That is why we continue to push our message.”

"Head Case Radio Review"

HEADCASE RADIO WEEKLY MAILER

Seattle- TYET are two brothers from the East Bay in California. They bring some seriously great Oakland soul to the party - when one hears TYET they can't help but be reminded of groups like Tower Of Power. TYET is their own entity, though, and don't sound exactly like anyone else. One thing we DO know, though, it's all great and we're very pleased to have them on board with us here at HCR! (If we get to the Oakland area ... we'll meet y'all in Oaksterdam!) - Head Case Radio- DJ Meatwad

Will Obama “Stand for Change”? A Campaign Song Written by Ordinary People From Pennsylvania and the Bay Area
Tyet a band from Pittsburgh, PA moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue their dreams. Their campaign song may be the boost the Obama Campaign needs.

CALIFORNIA--- You have heard all of the jokes and prank style campaign songs written for the Obama camp in recent months. This song does not belong in those categories. An unsigned band by the name of Tyet has written a very moving and poignant campaign song for Barack Obama. The band is from Pittsburgh, PA and recently moved to the Bay Area to pursue their dreams of being signed to a major label.
“Barack has inspired millions with his life and his current successes. We are two of those millions. He gives us the inspiration to go after our dreams, he is proof that anything is possible if you work hard for it,” said Bruce Harris, Tyet’s lead vocalist.

The song and the bands personal story are a direct reflection of the campaigns platform. The soulful “Stand for Change” tells of the bands inability to “make away” in Pennsylvania and moving to California to chase their dreams. It takes you from their personal story to the state of America to today. It also touches on most of the major issues of the campaign like global warming and the war in Iraq.
The band hopes Obama will respond to the song, Brian Harris, guitarist and vocalist said “we wrote this song for him, we hope he can use it as a tool to help him win the election, it will help to show people, he is interested in and connected to everyday people and helping them achieve their dreams”. This is not another “crush on Obama” but a stirring thought provoking song that comes form “We the people” as referenced by the song. Stay tuned rumor has it Joe Biden’s team has already heard the song.

Dear Mr. Biden,

I write this letter with pure intentions hoping for a miracle. My name is Brian Harris and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA and I lived there until two years ago. I left with my brother because there was no opportunity for us. We gave up everything that we owned to move to California where we now live. the road has not been easy and is still no easier. Recently I lost my job due to budget cuts in the afterschool field. Even though my financial situation is in a state of emergency I maintain faith because I get to chase my dream of making music for the masses.

Mr. Biden I believe in change and I believe in hope. This campaign song that we wrote echoes the message of your campaign. We are the people you mention in your speeches and the very souls that are crying out for change and for opportunity. All we are asking is for an opportunity to tell our story through music to help your cause. To listen to the song and view our slideshow visit myspace music and search Tyet. Here are the details about the campaign song:

What Is The Project?
Tyet decided to write a Barack Obama campaing song. They are currently marketing the song in the Bay area as well as their hometown Pittsburgh, PA and everywhere in between.

Why?
We wanted to do our part. Barack has inspired millions of people to fight for change. Tyet is among those millions but specifically Baracks campaign touched their hearts and minds. They saw the parallells between the struggles of the campaign, the American people and their own journey. They believe they can influence the outcome of the election through their music. Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh but having lived throughout the State, in the same small towns that present a challenge, they know first hand that once the hometown people get to know you they will embrace you. Tyet traveled across the country to move to the Bay Area in Northern California. They were among the very communitites that Barack speaks about and to so they also feel a strong connection on the west coast as well. That is why Tyet wrote “Stand for change”, to tell their story, Americas story, and the need for new leadership in the manifestation of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

What does Tyet want from you? How succesfull will the song be? You can help…
Let us be the ones to help bring people together through the power of music. Our testimony is living proof that change can happen.

For information/booking please call 412-965-9514 or 412-478-5020.

Thank you sir for taking the time out to listen to me.

Respectfully,

Brian A. Harris

GREENE IS ON ITUNES

Bio

With soulful riffs and powerful vocals GREENE moves everyone their music comes in contact with. The band’s combined resume includes international performances, professional theater productions, festivals, bars, nightclubs and community events. GREENE’s recent successes include reaching number 4 on the charts in the Sonicbids/Midas/Spin magazine competition, out of 50 other bands nationwide. Other recent credits they have added to their repertoire are Internet Radio play on multiple stations worldwide, as well as the premier of their live studio performance recorded in San Francisco. GREENE has also expanded the lists of venues that they have been offered to play including Hotel Cafe, The Palms, and The Key Club in L.A. to name a few.

Playing to crowds that have ranged in size from 5 to 10,000, GREENE performs with a natural connection to their audiences. The band motto is “Uplifting the spirits of those who need it and bringing the party to those who want it”, and they deliver every time. Having shared the bill with the likes of George Clinton, The Wailers, and the Jazz Mandolin Project, it comes as no surprise that they deliver a great show. Seeing GREENE live is the best way to experience them because their original music not only reflects their soulful roots but their eclectic exposure to music. Along with powerful original tunes GREENE plays some great classic Soul covers as well as radio hits.

With such a strong fan base on the East coast and their growing popularity on the West coast, it’s only fitting that GREENE is planning a cross country tour for summer of 2013. This group is headed for great accomplishments in the music industry and it won’t be long before we see their name in lights.
